Labor Day Weekend '08... F-U-N in DC!

What a fun weekend we had spending time with our Cupp Family in Washington DC! We kicked off our trip super late from Gastonia on Friday and made a 1am arrival to John's Dad's house. We had promised Kathryn a museum visit... so we took she and Mary Claire to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History to see the Dinosaurs! Who would have guessed that it would take us over an hour to find a parking spot. Geez! We enjoyed the exhibits and was a bit startled by their 3D Dinosaur Show! John's sister's family joined us on Saturday and it was GREAT to see them. Kathryn and Sydni had a ball playing all weekend. Seth and Meygen were such great helpers with keeping the girls entertained. On Saturday... we celebrated everyone's birthdays with some birthday singing and delicious carrot cake eating! We enjoyed John's Dads home-smoked cookin' Sunday night followed by a road trip to Carl's for some delicious icecream. Did you see the LINE for that place? Yes, we stood in it and Yes, we certainly enjoyed it! We enjoyed our visits with John's Grandmother, Great Grandma Owens and look forward to seeing everyone around the Christmas Holidays! Thanks to John and Cindy for a relaxing weekend.
