Light the Night with Love... Support the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte

Greetings everyone...
I hope that this holiday season is gearing up to be a great one for all.
In recent months, I have started to learn more about and volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte that is "in process" of raising funds to break ground for a beautiful 30,000 square foot "home away from home" for families with seriously ill children being treated in our local Charlotte hospitals. The home is set to open in the beginning of 2010.
This season, neighborhoods all around the Charlotte area will be participating in a fundraiser to support our local house. We hope all of our homeowners will purchase our luminary kits and place and light candles along their front yards at dusk on Saturday, December 20th for the "Light the Night with Love" event.
Luminary kits are now for sale... $10/kit which includes 8 luminary bags, 8 candles and enough sand to weigh them down. All proceeds go directly to support our local house in Charlotte.
If anyone is interested in purchasing a kit from me, please let me know by November 30th! I will deliver purchased kits during the first week of December.
I have also agreed to be our Neighborhood Captain... I plan to pass out flyers and make everyone aware of this event in our neighborhood... in hopes that no area in my neighborhood goes unlit on this special night. If anyone is interested in helping "light up their neighborhood"... I will be more than happy to get the information to you regarding ordering, pick up, etc.

Happy Holidays to you and your family.
